I also pulled 625 lbs while standing on a 4" block, but hitched that one so decided to post my final warm-up set...

I've done this complex many times and I know it's only one round, but to see someone using 300 lbs is just ridiculous! That's insane, Tom.

Thank you, I started a thread on them after using it as a warm-up for my training the other day. There is a forum challenge with 135/185 lbs which I might try next week:

You need to tackle the King Kong workout at some point:
3 Rounds for time:
1 Deadlift 455#
2 Muscle Ups
3 Squat Cleans 250#
4 Handstand Pushups

Funny, I was just about to suggest that to Tom.
Tom, you're probably the only person that comes to mind that could complete this on these boards.

That definitely sounds like a good challenge; I would need to practice the handstand push-up's as I have never done one before.

You'll plow through them based on your overhead pressing strength vs. body weight ratio. Are you able to do muscle-ups?

But, I'm sorry. Why is this a "Crossfit" Bear complex?????

I have no idea. I have seen the Bear complex long before I heard about Crossfit. All I'm saying. Crossfit is nothing new either. Neither is 5/3/1 or Block periodization. All this crap has been done before. Change a few things and slap a label on it and it's a brand new concept.

I have done a muscle-up in the past but do not have rings and am not sure if the movement would bother my shoulders or not; dips have become a bit troublesome for me.
Something that I have yet to see in any of the "WOD's" is a clapping pull-up, I have a few friends who can do them and they are pretty cool.

I only threw the term CrossFit in because it is more recognized; like you said I am sure that people were doing barbell complexes for 50 years before anyone came up with the concept of "CrossFit".

Here I am thinking that you were opening a Crossfit gym. I was going to wish you good luck. One opened up three blocks from my house recently so it has piqued my curiosity. From what i hear, these types of places are cash cows. Either way, a 300 lb bear complex is ridiculous. Now, for a set of 5.... :)
