Apparently he hurt his pec and bicep in training but still managed to bench 500+ and deadlift 800+

That's insane. He definitely doesn't get much out of his suit. It's also freakish how flexible his writs are to hold the bar in that position.

This is absolutely insane!! He should have just put on 455kg and done 1,003!! Him and big rob need to meet up and have a squat battle!!

Well since his best single ply squat is 470 kg he doesn't get much out of his suit.

Haha, I was waiting for someone to mention this. I watched a few other vids from this meet and the camera man makes sure to show the card girl in every video; sometimes more than once haha.

I agree with Eric, I kind of wish he had gone for 1000, but apparently he missed 450kg on his second attempt and got it on his third.

Yes, that's what I was referring to. He really doesn't get much out of the suit if you look at his best single-ply vs best raw squat.

Going to be hard for anyone to top a squat like that.

The only one close would be Big Rob, and if all goes well he'll probably break it in March.

Walking it out really raised the ante on this one...

Eh, I guess it just depends on what your opinion is. That walkout was really impressive though, he wasn't shaky at all. I was just watching that video on youtube of him squatting 881 for a double and thinking the same thing about the walkout.

Although the card girls are awesome, they just got the first video taken down for violating youtube's nudity policy.

This is coming from a person who lifts in the most pro-walkout fed there is....don't discredit anything due to a walkout or lack thereof. Leave that to fanboys. The principle of the argument is the squat, not the walkout.

This is like the whole KK-no belt DL vs. Bolton's raw DL and not taking a handoff in the bench to be more hardcore arguments. It seems Andrey trains with a walkout, and although he might get more carryover from not walking it out, he doesn't want to risk it because he plays like he practices.

Otherwise, the guy who held the world record for the squat when they had to pick the barbell off the floor and put it on their backs to start the lift, should be furious right now.

I am not discrediting anything. Nonetheless, I will give credit to the fact that he walked the squat out.

What was his second attempt red lighted for? I can't tell from the video.
