Been chasing this one a long ass time.

Done at a body weight of around 210.

This represents abotu 65 lbs on my strict OH press in 1 year, all thanks to 5-3-1 and incorporating strongman events (axle C&P, log, etc.)

Congrats bud! The best part of that vid is @ 18sec :D Funny what we do when we hit a PR of some sort...I think I danced around like a little fairy for about a minute and a half after I hit 405x5 on DLs. Awesome press dude!!!

Thanks everyone! Not sure if that damn set burnt me out or what but 2 days ago my OH press workout was CRAP. Could barely press 185 over head.

4 days rest and then onto progression towards 250lb strict OH!

I know I'm a little late for the celebration, but 225 OH press is very impressive especially at your body weight! Congrats on the milestone. What's the next short-term goal for you? P.S. Do you know where the hell Kiaran is? A lot of journal whores have dropped out for some reason...

Yeah, I chat with him on occasion through Facebook. He is still training, i think he is doing some jiu jitsu now. He has said that his enthusiasm for WBB comes and goes in waves now.

Thanks for the props! Next big short term goal for me is to get my squat to 450. Also maybe try a 300 push press with the rackable axle bar. Lastly, a 315 touch and go bench is probably only within a few weeks away, though honestly i dont really care for touch and go bench maxes.

Haha, sounds like me. He's doing jui-jitsu now??? I told him I was interested in that a couple of months ago and told me not to do it because it's ghey and too mainstream, lol. I'll be sure to get on him for that when he comes back. :evillaugh:

Sounds like some awesome goals to hit in the near future. 315 touch-and-go bench isn't exciting for you?? I guess considering the fed you compete in you're only concern is a paused bench. Impressive numbers, bud.

LOL when I tnged 3 plates last week it was a high that lasted the entire day. Trust me, it will feel good!

Oh yeah, let me say again that I am really impressed by your 225 press and I think that is a million times more impressive than a 3 plate bench. Seriously! Will take me a year to hit 225 on military most likely.

LOL, I felt that day when I pulled 4 plates. I hope to hit that bench some day!

Good **** Chip! You're a much better vertical presser than I so correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you supposed to push your head forward once the bar clears your head?
