hi , is it absolutly neccessary to alternate the military press with the benchpress ? i am a comp. powerlifter and would do the squat , the bench and the deadlift EVERY week .

and the overheadstuff on wednesday or as a assistenceexercise on monday .

good idea ?

No its not. I do both every week, though. It depends on what will overtrain you.

My monday is the volume day for bench and squat with some accessories. My wednesday is just a recovery day for bench and squat but I put the power cleans here. I do volume ohp with volume deadlift on friday while bench and squat is a ME day as PX'd by Rip.

Like I said, you will have hash out what is important to you and prioritize that.
