Now that we are in a new year, it's time for some new goals!!!

My goals for 2011:

RAW
Squat:705...This will beat my all-time PR
Bench:460...This will also beat my all-time PR
Deadlift:700...This has been a goal of mine for years and I think this year it will happen.

Multi-ply
2400+ total
I'm not exactly sure about what numbers I need to get it, but that's a total I think is very much in reach.

So let's see what your goals are what PR's you plan on breaking!!!!!

Start rehabbing my new shoulder in about 3 weeks, and if I end up with a sound shoulder for the 1st time since I was in college; make a comeback around the end of 2011 or early 2012. If all goes well I'd like to comeback with a 1700+ raw total and 2150+ equipped toatal at about 56 YO. I'd also like to make a run at a 500+ raw meet bench and a 700+ equipped meet bench with a 700+ raw meet squat and 900+ equipped meet squat.

Squat 600lbs
Bench 350lbs
Deadlift 600lbs

1300total in first half of year then cut down in weight then hopefully hit 1400 before end of year. Will it happen? Those are some pretty extreme gains but thats the plan.

May only do one meet this spring and a bench only meet in the early summer because of my kid brother getting married and work things going on this fall.

Meet goals (for the next meet in a few weeks): Squat: 905, bench 720, deadlift 600, total 2100+ in single ply @ SHW.

After that, I don't know. I'm thinking hard about using the away from meet time to start working into multipy gear. If I do that, the next stop is a PRO total...2450 @ SHW. We'll have to see what happens.

Last year I missed a 633 pull that would have gotten me my first 2100.... I've decided to get serious after that and really get my training and nutrition together.

I've hit lifts in the gym that would get me over 2400 in a meet...... so realistically I'd really like to hit 2300 this year and get my first 1000 squat in a meet.

1000/600/800 @ 220

Squat and bench are very realistic and if things go well I will have the squat in a few weeks. Deadlift is going to take some seious work, but things have been progressing nicely lately so I may as well have a big goal :D

RAW LIFTS
Squat - 405
Bench - 350
Deadlift - 500

Compete in a full meet this summer.

Keep bodyweight in the ~ 198

Possibly start training in Single Ply gear towards fall time.

***I have a lot of other goals related to my personal life, coaching baseball, teaching, etc...But I'd rather keep this powerlifting oriented.

Shelby Starnes had this posted up on another site I frequent, and I really liked it, so I printed it out, put it on the wall in my garage.

1. Marry the right person. This one decision will determine 90% of your happiness or misery.
2. Work at something you enjoy and thatís worthy of your time and talent.
3. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
4. Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.
5. Be forgiving of yourself and others.
6. Be generous.
7. Have a grateful heart.
8. Persistence, persistence, persistence.
9. Discipline yourself to save money on even the most modest salary.
10. Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated.
11. Commit yourself to constant improvement.
12. Commit yourself to quality.
13. Understand that happiness is not based on possessions, power or prestige, but on relationships with people you love and respect.
14. Be loyal.
15. Be honest.
16. Be a self-starter.
17. Be decisive even if it means youíll sometimes be wrong.
18. Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life.
19. Be bold and courageous. When you look back on your life, youíll regret the things you didnít do more than the ones you did.
20. Take good care of those you love.
21. Donít do anything that wouldnít make your Mom proud.

On top of trying to be better at these things, I'd like to stay consistent in my training, something I've really struggled with. I want to see the results of full on 365 day thoughtful living, constantly processing diet, workouts, and not slipping to the point of a fallout.

Bench 350 (current 290-300?)
Squat 525 (current 430)
DL 500 (current 450)
get down to 9% bodyfat (current 13-14%, about 10lbs to go?)
run 4.69 40 (current 4.9)
40" vert (impossible)

Looking at my goals. If I get down to 9% bodyfat I would be about 187lbs. If I get my strength goals that would be a total of 1375 elite in the 181 class is 1379. So a little dehydration, that'd be something to shoot for too. 2011 is gonna be a good year.

get the lower half of my body to work right again. Get down to 200 lbs. Get as strong as I can at 200 lbs. Outfit my garage with a power rack so I can train at home. That pretty much sums up what I will be working on until I change my mind. But I think it will last most of this year.

I'd say reaching a max bench of 300 would be nice. That was my goal in highschool when I was completely workout retarded. I think I'll be able to do it in 6 months or so...

I'd really like to get an 830 bench this year which I really think is more than possible. I really struggled with my equipment last year.

I'd also like to take another step in closing in on a 600lb raw bench at a meet.

I just tested yesterday and came up with these numbers:

Weight: 196 lbs
Bench: 315
Military: 185
Squat: 420
Deadlift: 475
Big Three Total: 1210

So my goals would have to be:

Weight: 205
Bench: 325-330
Military Press: 225
Squat: 455
Deadlift: 500
Total: 1280 or more (I'd love 1300)

All raw.
