what is the widest legal grip for bench press :scratch:

Usally your index finger needs to be at least touching the ring.

Nick is right. Check your bar. Not all bars are marked for powerlifting. The marks should be 81 cm wide as Nick said. I have a bar in my gym that is quite a bit wider than 81 cm.

Yeah my gym has the bars that are wider apart too.
