just wondering what you meet vets would reccomend for a meet prep? i have my first meet tomorrow and its just a push pull. but i have my 1st full meet on march 26th. so that would give me 7 weeks of training and then 5 days of a deload for the meet. i was thinking about doing the juggernaut method, but i wouldnt be able to do the template as written. and i really want to follow as written by chad wesley smith. for this meet i have been doing 5/3/1 but i just found out about this meet 2 weeks ago so i didnt have any prep time. i know 5/3/1 is more for the long haul rather than peaking for a meet. any input would be appreciated.
thanks
edit - both meets are raw, no knee wraps, only belt and wrist wraps.

where at?
i got in touch with chad, he said to do the 8s wave and then the 3s wave for a peaking for the meet. which means i just wouldnt do the full deload week which i dont think would be a big deal at all.

If i had 7 weels i would do this....
set of 5 at 85%
double at 95%
Deload
Set of 6 at 85%
Double at 95%
singles up to 90%
deload
Meet

Also OP, just for further *****s and giggles, there is a 6 week "Russian" peaking cycle. Google is your friend. But go with what Scott laid out, very simple but effective

i plan on week 3 for the deload to go down to 40-50% and just get the blood pumping a bit. the week before the meet i will completely deload though with no lifting. and its not dumb, everyone does their deloading a little different. its a trial and error thing. and i think it really depends on the intesity levels while doing the working sets. if you are going to passing out every session then i think a full deload would be good. but if you are just lifting for strength and not doing a lot of conditioning it would be better to just scale it down. but trial and error is the key, see what works best for you.

not to thread hijack, but i only have 6 weeks before my next re-test and meet. tight, i know, but I didn't find out about this meet till last week.
Scott, (or anyone else) do you have a recommendation for 6 weeks (this includes deload and meet day, no extra weeks for deload)?
Also, the set and % you laid out, except for the singles, are you saying work your way up to one set only of each percentage?
example: week 1) 1 set of 5 @ 85%; week 2) 1 set of 2 @ 95%, etc?
or are you working of of prilepin's table?
THanks a lot in advance!!! I'm completely new and need some guidance!
