View Full Version : bicep pain wile benching

i thought i read this a wile back but could not find nothing on it

i arm wrestled someone like 3 weeks ago and ever since then my bi has felt funny.i can do curls i can do incline but when i do flat bench it hurts bad decinding and the first half going up the further in i tuck my elbows the least amount it hurts but it still hurts and is deff effecting my performance

any idea what it might be i think i have had it befor to a few years back

Typically this is because the bicep has been strained where it inserts into the shoulder. You're probably going to have to do some rehab work for a few weeks to get that back to where it needs to be.

Rolling on a lacrosse ball, high rep, low weight hammer and bicep curls, ultra light weight db overhead work, that sorta stuff.

Hammer Curls with a mini band and ice post training helped me.

hammers really? i wouldnt have even thought that i thought maybe not doing bis at all would be better would it hurt to ice every night befor a shower or just on training days

Bicep tendon connects up to your shoulder. Shoulders are used in benching.

Bench coming up so what should I do about flat bench since that seams to be when it only hurts not do them should i still do incline and all should
