View Full Version : Fitday & ideal percentages? help.

Hey guys,

Im using fitday again, and Its been a while.

After i put everything in there is a pie chart. Im trying to do a clean bulk. What do i want my percentages to look like?

Fat%?
Protein%?
Carbs%?

There isn't necessarily an ideal % for a "clean' bulk. The % doesn't mean much without the context of total calorie intake. I'm assuming you are shooting for a slight caloric excess. Get enough protein in and then fill in the rest of your calories with carbs and fat. Avoid going to extreme %'s (high or low) of carbs or fat. Other than that you will just to have implement something and see how it works then make adjustments from there.

Percentage is somewhat irrelevant.

It's more about finding how many grams of each macro you need. Whatever the percentage works out to be for that intake is what it is.

You might be best suited to add and subtract calories solely from carbs -- in which case your percentage will be all over the place depending on your overall intake.
