i was reading an article by louie simmons and he stated that for dynamic squat they cycle 3 weeks starting at 50% and each week increasing by 5 % till week three and then they go back down and start agian should this be done

this is what i am doing
if your into powerlifting,,,Not sure how you could even question anything Louie tells ya to do....LOL

Yes, that's generally how Louie says you should cycle the dynamic training for the squat. Of course, the percentages are a guideline and assume that you have good bar speed at the given percentage. If you are slow, then you should lower the %.

those % are for geared lifting and too low for raw lifting. If raw i suggest starting at 60% and waving up the same. Why? b/c while bar speed is high when using below 60%, force production is too low. read some fred hatfield stuff on CAT for deeper explanation
Ive often wondered if those numbers were geared or raw. 60% of my best geared squat is about my 3 rep max raw.. I think it makes sense to use the most weight you can while maintaining good speed.

True. I didn't think about him being raw. I've read Dave Tate say to add 10% to Lou's percentages if you are going to train raw.
