Today I did some squat training with Scott Weech. He is getting ready for a strongman competition at the end of the month. As for myself, I am just trying to get stronger. He worked up to 700x3 and I worked up to 560x3 and I did 2 dropsets afterwards. Here's the video:

Thanks Scott!!! I was but I didn't train last week, and for some reason I didn't follow it through this week. I'm probably going to take it easy for a few weeks and then start it up again when I get ready for the USPA Raw Nationals.

Good work as usual. Scott turns it on meet day. If you saw this without knowing, you would think 750....no, 854!

I did some raw squats fairly deep Wednesday and my glutes are smashed.

Thanks Adam!!! When it's time to get ready for a meet, he becomes a different animal. He is also training for a strongman competition, so I'm sure he's a little beat up from that.

My glutes aren't really sore but my quads are.

Ya my training rigth now is focused on strongman so I do not push my squats as high. Actually in that vid I had planned on 4 or 5 but on the 3rd I felt a pop in my right hamstring and it was a little sore. I feel pretty good today but did not want to risk injury. I am planning on doing the Europa PL in April so it will be a little crazy doing a pl that close to a Strongman but it will be very interesting to see how it turns out. Typically I stay lighter on my squats getting ready for a Strongman but I am going to try and keep them higher during strongman seasons to better transition between the 2 a little better.
