First heavy bench day in about a month, UPA nationals is on April 17th, so i have a few heavy training days left before the meet, looking to hit a new PR at the meet.

Good job, but why the thumbless grip? You've always done great with a regular grip.

Thanks! And honestly it feels way better than doing the regular grip. When i trained close grips about 2 months ago and maxed out with 510, i had a thumbless grip and it felt really good, felt like i could drive/push harder with my triceps. So i decided to give it a try with my competition grip (ring fingers on the rings) and it felt the same. I've been practicing with this grip for a few weeks now, but yesterday was my first day going heavy and with pauses with that grip.

Thanks! Yes, i had a pec tare back in July and it took me awhile to heal up, it wasn't until october that i hit my first 500 raw bench since the injury. The day i got injured, i paused 525 for my best PR and it tore when i was doing heavy reps after. So my goal is to beat that paused bench in my full power meet... probably go for around 240kg (529lbs) on a 3rd attempt next month.

I noticed that you're on your toes, do you finds you can use leg drive better than flat footed?
