What would you guys say are some of the best beginner, intermediate, and advanced lifting workouts out there that focus more heavily on strength instead of hypertrophy? For both full body and split routines? I know this is very general, but I don't know much about the different workouts that are proven to work. Until I get more experience under my belt I'd much rather go with one of those instead of potentially hurting myself with a flawed program.

First, start with something simple like Starting Strength.

Next, advance to something like Texas Method or one of the good 5x5 programs.

Finally, finish off with Conjugate or 5/3/1.
