Never heard of any other 18 year old his age or weight pulling 800 raw, so i'm automatically going to assume it's probably a world record lol... but he'll make it official next month at the UPA nationals and pull it in a full power meet and get himself in the record books no doubt.

Yeah, but he is built to deadlift. It's all about the total.

Can't believe I read this stupid shit somewhere else. That the best thing about the deadlift, except for hitching, there is no subjectivity to it. You pick it up and put it down. This is a great feat, one 99% of this board won't ever come close to. Respect.

He's using a hook grip, but that too is very impressive with 800 lbs. That is a hell of a lift for anyone, and especially for an 18 year old.

thanks . Ummm yeah man just heal up from that meet last weekend dude, I read about it in another thread on this site and you seemed very close to 2400 total. You might as well bench 800 squat 1000 and deadlift 800 next meet for a 2600 total...Yeah I know it can be tough to deadlift after all the other stuff, lol You don't need to remind me.

If you were 28 then that would be impressive.

But with you being just 18 that's absolutely staggering.

Nice work.

I meant you as the next 800 deadlifter after you hit it in your next meet bro!

You'll get it WAY before I do! And screw healing up, training starts now for Seniors, if I want to pull like you guys I have to start training with you guys. You have this thing dialed in!

What a stupid and jealous comment!

Who are these F&*ks? Are they serious?

That actually pisses me off but I guess we all know its just garbage.

You are a freak kid! Straight nasty right there!!

How did you train your hook grip to get to that point? Did you just use it every deadlift session or did you overload it with pin pulls? You look like you could hold it all day!

Everyone else has said it already, but that was a freakin' sick lift!
Being 18 as well and only having pulled 315 as my PR really puts things in perspective, too. Only 485 more pounds to go!

Huge props, man.

Obviously he is built to deadlift and total is most important. Doesn"t change the fact, that it's impressive!

An 800 lbs deadlift is an amazing feat of strength - period. Doesn't matter if you're built for deadlifting, 30-years old, or 18-years old. Pulling that kind of weight off the floor is impressive. When you can achieve such an awesome lift at such a young age - it boggles the mind at what your future holds.

If it was all about Chris's build, every high school basketball team would have a half dozen tremendous pullers. I didn't see many 800lb deadlifts in the state playoffs last year.

thanks guys for the nice comments, and as for the whole total thing, I suck at bench, and like overhead press better anyway, but been working out squat hard, and I'll let my total next month speak for itself, I beleve April 17th 2011 Sandwich Illinois.

Not going to pretend I'm not impressed. Buuuut this kid is another guy with a perfect deadlifting body. Some folks are just set up to do certain physical tasks.

For example,I've never seen better squat leverages than Henry Thomasson. Still impressive. But it's a bit easier for him than say Ano Turtainian who has hit similar weights (multiply).

Just saying it's awesome, but for me there is a bit of asterik when someone is perfectly suited to a lift.

That's what's great about PL'g...It's ALL about the TOTAL!

found this outlaws, must be what everyone talking about. O.o

Good point!

There are plenty of guys who are built to deadlift who cant pull 500.

800 is 800.

With an 800 lbs deadlift, you can suck at bench and still get an awesome total. No matter how you slice it, 800 lbs is a hell'uva deadlift!

Yep and apparently it was Sean Katterle who wote it. Suprised Billy Minmaugh didn't tear him a new one. Outlaws is by far the most entertaining place to read posts.

800 is 800.

And what next, put an asterisk aside Usain Bolts records, he has perfect leverages and genetics for sprinting! Ridiculous.

Awesome deadlift btw.
