Does anyone know the science of being a non-responder to creatine? I mean the actual cause and physiological responses.

Honestly, I have read absolutely nothing on that, which is odd, but then again not, because I've never come across anyone who was truly a "non-responder."
I've encountered many, however, that were either hoping for a magic pill, or had a flaw in their diet/training, or all of the above.

I don't want this thread to turn into another freakin creatine faq, but the reason I ask is because I don't gain water weight when I am taking it like most people claim they do.

Creatine is mostly for people who don't already have enough natural creatine in their bodies. Your body may already create enough, especially if you're still young. I know I've had great results when I use creatine, but I also gain weight easy. That's all I can tell ya.
I don't know the scientific reasons but I don't rspond very well to creatine monohydrate so I tried Celltech and immediatly got more strength and muscle size so I'd suggest you try a creatine formula that includes plenty of carbs. Assuming your problem is that creatine doesn't work for you.
