Did you start dedicating yourself to powerlifting after your college football days?

You look like a beast of an athlete. Did you get any looks from the NFL? Do you still have hopes of getting an NFL contract? Arena league? European football league?

I was a guard in college, played in an all star game after my senior year. Worked out for the NFL scouts as a fullback, but no real luck. I played in various arena leagues for 3 seasons, and ended up tearing my acl, and mcl. Gave up the dream after that and started teaching and coaching. Going to take a year or two away from coaching and see how big of a total I can put together.

Why did you have to switch from guard to fullback?

I used to know a kid that played arena league for a few years too. He said it wasn't worth it.

Way top undersized for OL in the NFL. Arena 1 league was well worth it, the A2 leagues were not.

Can't remember exactly who he played for, but I'm thinking it must have been the A2 leagues. He was playing on a team in California.

He wasn't making much and ended up getting his knees basically destroyed. I knew him after all this (my wife was working for his father).

Anyway, your lifts are amazing. Thanks for posting and good luck!!

Looks like you're good for high 6's to 700 in the dead right now.

What happened on the squat, it looked a tad awkward?

A few things, first time in mono, and was off center of bar. If you pause it a few times on the way down, I shift all my weight to my right leg (which is the knee I tore). Made for one ugly squat! Hope to pull 700 in June.

My favourite part was when you lifted the really heavy weight and made it look easy.

Thanks, I left a lot on the deadlift. Missed my third bench as well.
