3rd attempts for both. Not bothering to put the bench up because it was 270, which I believe we all probably did in 10th grade. Squat is actually a walked out, non knee wrap PR, and dead is an all time pr. Not bad for only pulling as heavy as 465 for 5 in training for the past 5 months.

Nice lifts. I was actually there watching. How heavy were your lifts? Were you wearing an atlarge.com shirt?

They were a 505 squat and a 605 dead at bw of 228. I was wearing the At Large shirt over top everything between flights. It was cold in that room yesterday and was trying to stay relatively warm.

I am the same age and get the same reaction from people!
Nice lifts Joey. I believe that was the deepest squat in IPA history, lol.

I believe that honor goes to Andy Ruse, but I'll take the compliment regardless.

I would imagine one would have tunnel vision when getting ready to smash the 800 lb barrier on the bench! I bet your journey to 9 gets you there faster than this one took based on experience. Also sounded like you left a bit on the platform based on your meet write up.
