i do use them on heavy squat and deadlifts, but nothing else. But what about heavy bench?
I have to imagine that it helps, more abdominal pressure leading to increased stability? I even have to imagine that because of the other two it could even help with the transfer of leg drive.
Ideas?.

But then you won't be able to expand the big belly and reduce your range of movement to put up bigger numbers - :)

I feel tighter when benching with a belt, but yes it does cut down on ROM with the belly being up there. If you have a good arch, it doesn't effect it as much because you can still get arch even with the belt. Play around with both, see how it feels.

how much you benching? it is always good to lift with out belts for chest unless you are in a bench competition
