I take an MRP w/ 40g whey protein after workout (so I get vitamins and other stuff besides just the protein)
I could just take 40g of whey protein.
IF by doing it the MRP way since the powder is a ton of different things not just whey will that effect the speed that the protein works, thus effecting muscle size, b/c the protein doesnt get there as fast.
OR IS THERE NO DIFFERENCE??
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO MAXIMIZE THE 40G OF PROTEIN IN MY BODY? MIXED WITH MRP OR JUST THE PROTEIN??

Obviosuly you dont understand english.
If i take the protein with other stuff like in a MRP is that the same effect as taking the protein with nothing but water.

mrp's have carbs in them, just whey on it's own doesn't (except a few grams.)
There will be a difference.

so... does carbs with the whey help muscle growth or not?
ANSWER MY QUESTION:
Is it better to take an MRP with X amount of protein or just X amount of protein after workout.
What will result in the best bet for my muscle growth?

Well you wanna get some carbs down you after training.
Whey alone will be mostly oxidised by the liver and used for fuel, so you may as well use the mrp.
Not to mention the insulin provoked from the carbs will be best for halting potential catobolism.

An even better choice would be to take the whey powder with water and some simple carbs after you work out. Depending on the MRP there may be things in it that may compete for digestion or slow the process down. If you take just the whey powder with water and some simple carbs then you are allowing the nutrients to be used more effectively.
Save the MRP for other times if you can. It may not have a huge impact but since you are demanding an answer I would say that is best.
