Would I be over training if I trained upper lats 3x per week? On my ME and DE Bench days, I would do one compound lift (pull up, BB or DB row) followed by 1 machine/cable targeting mid/low back utilizing a 3x8-10 format. I was thinking of adding in 1 upper lat lift between DE/ME sessions, which falls on ME deadlift day. Thoughts?

I did similar for a while but found hitting lats hard once a week and lighter once a week best for me personally.

I am back to training back three times a week. I had back by itself and I just can't get motivated to do it. Now I'll do one exercise on each upper day and one on a lower day. That will be the lower assistance day, what most people consider DE squat. I figure I don't need to hit back on my ME sq/dl day, it gets enough work on that day already. I also throw in a rear delt/upper back exercise on one of the bench days.

if you feel recovered go for it.. but if not it'd be best to wait. make sure your nutrition can support hitting that large muscle group 3x a week.
