Hi,
Did the JoeW weight gain supplements of the 1970's contain steroids, my wife says yes and I say no but really neither of us know for sure.

Thanks,
--Ross

Impossible to prove now but I wouldn't doubt it. I know at one time, possibly the 60's, gyms had them on display for legal retail.

Ross, the answer is a definite NO! Back then there were no GNC's or Vitamin World - and no internet. The only way to get Joe's products was to fill out and clip the coupon out of Muscle Builder/Power magazine and send it in, along with your check, then wait for weeks for it to come. F.Y.I. We all found out after the fact that Joe's Super Weight Gainers with the 4000-5000 calories got most of their calories from table sugar! What shit. We were buying big tubs loaded with a little protein powder and mostly sugar. NO WONDER it tasted so good!!
P.S. Didn't you use supplements in the 70's or were you not training yet?
