I'll watch it just for the powerlifting moments. But I still cant figure out the plot of the movie. Is it some woman putting in work to survive and stay on top of her game?

plot summary from IMDB:

Since when were there powerlifting scholarships? If true, then the plot looks ok, but if not, a bit hokey to me.
