Is there any benefit to muscle growth if someone was to take in 3000 calories and 250 grams of protein vs someone who was to take in 2600 calories and 250 grams of protein. Also was wondering pretty much the same question for someone doing cardio.

Person a takes in 2600 calories and 225 grams of protein while person b takes in 3000 calories a day and 265 grams of protein but burns off 400 more calories a day then person a through cardio. Just wondering which would be best for muscle growth and not overall size growth both inputs are appreciated if possible though.

It's all relative to maintenance. If someone maintains there weight on 2200 calories per day for example, then eating 3000 calories will likely cause them to gain too much fat no matter how much of it is protein.

Overall calories will determine how much weight you lose or gain, and having enough protein (1g per lb or bodyweight most people recommend) is required to build/repair muscles. But if you have too little calories or too many calories, you will lose/gain weight irregardless of protein intake

Are you asking if calorie intake effects weight gain?

With regards to the scenario in your second paragraph - Assuming that 225g protein was adequate for the individual then it really doesn't matter.

Your real question should be how many calories do you require. That's the first step to this problem. Once you figure that out then you can work on how much protein you need, usually 0.08 for inactive people to 2-3grams per pound of bodyweight for serious bodybuilders.

If anything my real question would be does a person who consumes more protein but less calories have any possitives or negatives in achieving hypertrophy then someone who consumes less protein but more calories

You need to stop concerning yourself with protein. Yes, read it again. Proteins not some magical substance that the more you consume the bigger you get. You only need so much. Eat that much and disregard anymore as having any effect. What you need to be concerned with primarily is calorie intake.
