I thought I would give a breakdown of my thoughts of my performance over the week.

Squats: Went a tad conservative under the guidance of Gregg (v experienced lifter).
Warmed up quickly as that's what I'm used to. I hit 205 after the 5th lifter in the warm up room and then opened on 220. 220 was just beautiful. Felt so nice on the back, cruisey, easy.
Second was 235. This felt weird, didn't rebound fast enough, but came up easily enough. Gregg advised 240 rather than our planned 245 and told me to just stick it. Nathan Jones had also advised not killing myself during the squats. Took 240 and absolutely nailed it. Everything felt right about that squat from the walk out to the set up.

Bench: Oh bench!
Good. Nailed 117.5 opener, got sloppy on the 125 2nd, but got it on the third. Me and bench press have some serious business over the next 6 weeks. Expect something good. I will be running Smolov jr and just getting some serious volume.

Deadlifts.... oh deadlift.
I had hoped for 130 bench. Which if i had done a 245 squat would have given me a 375 subtotal, and then needed 325 pull for 700. Didn't go perfect so I just figured fuck it, I'll go for broke. Made sure to get a pb on the second and went for broke on 335. The bastard broke an inch off the ground and then I died.

I opened on 300, which was so stupidly easy and fast it was really a waste of an attempt. Nathan and Gregg advised caution for the squats and bench... deadlifts for me are a different story, I know my pull inside out. I should have opened on 312.5 and then gone straight to 335 on the second. I have very very limited amounts of gas on the deads, especially after a full meet. The second needs to be the big one.

All in all. 687.5kg total, and I took squat dead and total teen raw records in the WPC. Had an absolute blast, and really just love the community.

Nick, why are you not competing?

PTC Sydney has a pushpull coming up. CAPO is heading in big new directions. I assume you Dan Anderson and the Total Strength team?
