View Full Version : LEaning out but want to gain muscle

OKAY. I've always been puzzled.... how do you gain muscle but not fat around the gut and just overall.
I was about 160 lbs. and I leaned out to about 153lbs. I look better for sure. I'm doing it on about 2500 calories a day(40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat). The thing is a I want to continue gaining muscle but not thye fat that seems to form on the gut that comes with the seven pounds I've lost. Everything I've read says you have to up your calories.....I don't get it.

Eat a small caloric surplus
Stick mainly to unprocessed foods
Lift weights

You're probably going to have to accept at least a very small amount of fat gain. Do what tom said and eat a small surplus. Be sure you're tracking your calories consistently.

thanks for sharing.you should consume less calories and take whey protein with creatine to get lean for size improvment you should take BCAA s .taking these combination you will get maximum muscles and lesser fat.
