My friend is completely into powerlifting and so for this Christmas I am trying to get him something that deals with powerlifting: DVDs (http://www.westside-barbell.com/products/index.php?ct=1), books, equipment, etc..Any ideas on what to get?

I gave my wife a squat bar for christmas one year.

This year for our anniversary she got a pair of diamond earrings, a .38 special, and a new set of bands (full set, from mini's to strongs).

I'm thinking this year for Christmas she needs something really nice, like maybe a buffalo bar and a Browning A bolt .243 with a good Leopold scope on it. I don't know yet, she wants a Dodge Challenger. Obviously my gift is cheaper and one that is, in my world, more practical.

If you want to keep it real cheap, get the Westside Barbell Book of Methods.

You could go from anything from chalk, to a squat or deadlift bar. Just depends on budget and what he's already got.

Chalk would make for a great stocking stuffer...that stuff is inexpensive.

My G/f already got me mine. My new Overkill 2ply deadlift suit showed up on Friday.

Side note: I'd stay away from suits unless this person has specified sizing with you (somehow). From what I've observed, people have different size preferences for gear. It can be touchy, I suppose. Perhaps someone with gear could comment on this matter.

Perhaps an inzer 10 MM belt.
