It's common knowledge that creatine needs to be carried through our blood. A lot of people advise taking creatine with grape juice, glucose powder etc. as a means to this.

My question is, does it matter the GI of a food type that you take with creatine to ensure maximun absorbtion??

And

Is it ok to take creatine with a complex carbohydrate drink (eg Maxim powder) or is it better to take it with orange cordial or grape juice??

I got my best results when I took it with ALA, and no I don't mean Cell-Tech. I mean cheap creatine and ALA.

ALA=Alpha Lipoic Acid. It's a bit pricey and isn't really required. The only time I'd worry about taking your creatine with juice or a simple carb would be post workout as you would want to replenish glycogen levels anyway...

I can get a 50 day supply of ala for 6 bucks, i don't think it's expensive.
Last time I took creatine I had a month supply of it and the ALA for a bit under 15 bucks.
