I have been visiting the website for a while and decided to start a log and hopefully get some input from the lifters on this forum. I competed in my first full powerlifting meet last year and had a hell of a time. Right now I am preparing for a USAPL meet next March. Something that might interest some of the lifters on this forum...my mother is from Tocoa, GA and is related to the late Paul Anderson. However....I can only hope to be 1/4 as strong as he was.

My first raw meet at 224lbs:
Squat: 551
Bench Press: 385 (missed 407 lifting my butt up!)
Deadlift: 551

Trying to ease back into heavier weight. I am going to stick to 5s for a while and see how that goes. Also, I am going to try and rotate incline with flat each work..and throw in 2 board or floor press when I feel beaten up. I am convinced incline and overhead have very strong carry over to bench press and I have never really concentrated on either lift so I am going to try and hammer incline every other week.
