Wanted to challenge myself in 2012 so I figured I would go for a new best on back squat, previous best was 390, really wanted to get it up to 4 plates and I finally got it. I think the hardest part was backing it out lol

Good work! I really think you should alter your squatting technique. You are going to end up injured.

Not to take away from the lift. Great job on a PR!

How should I alter it?

I think you need to put your feet a little wider, sit back more, and push your knees out more. Your knees are going too far forward and coming in too much and you're not hitting depth with that stance.

Get your elbows under the bar.

Definitely widen your stance and focus on pushing your knees out.

Thanks guys, I also noticed I am not using my hips very much at all. Going to work on these things a good bit before my next max attempt.

Good lift. Your form isnt bad at all I think your stance is fine although I do recommend with experimenting with a wider stance. Definitely work on pushing your knees out and focus on sitting back more. I recommend low box squats.
