Im thinking of making white rice..potatoes and oatmeal as my main supply of carbs..any other good carb suggestions??? I want to keep it to 3 or 4 so I can make my meals easy?/ just bougt a rice cooker..that thing rocks....

Potatoes bad.
White Rice bad.
Oatmeal good.

Brown rice good.
Yams good.
Whole wheat bread (not enriched) good.

Are regular white potatoes higher glycemic than yams? Is that why yams are better?

Doesn't "enriched" bread just mean it's fortified with extra vitamins? Isn't it bleached flour that you want to avoid?

Enriched signifies that it has been altered. Natural is the way to go.

When something is enriched, yes, they do add vitamins and such to it. But the reason they do this is because their stupid processing took all the vitamins out in the first place. When you see a cereal or bread with a lot of added vitamins and enriched is somewhere in the beginning of the ingridient list, you can be sure that cereal is crap.
