View Full Version : How much to drop cals?

Due to a recent health problem (acute peri myocarditis) I can't do anything that elevates pulse or blood pressure for at least the next 4 weeks. I realize if I don't drop my calories I am going to gain fat quick with the huge decrease in physical activity. I was lifting 3 days a week and doing 3-4 30 min cardio sessions. Current diet average over past 30 days was 3687 cals and I was staying pretty steady on the scale. Any advise for minimizing muscle loss while I am recovering?

i think youll notice that from not exercising you will actually lose some appetite and you may just eat less naturally. The other advice to you is to definately keep sodium low if you dont want blood pressure too high.
