So towards the top of the lockout, the bar stuck to my legs from the humidity in the room. I should have at least chalked or powdered my thighs if I was going to wear those shorts (my excuse for the leg movement at the end).

Didn't except to even get this off the floor to be honest. My buddy recording said 455 looked quick, so he jokingly challenged me to 495. Challenge accepted.

Why would you chalk your thighs?

...or powder to help eliminate moisture so the bar doesn't catch on my legs like it did there. Didn't have any talcum powder on hand, so chalk (could) have worked? IDK. Whatever.:zipit:

I can barely do 415 with horrible form :(

Good work, Rob! Coulda eked out the extra 5lbs to make it a round 500, I reckon. Well done for getting it off the floor, I saw you give it a tentative go at first, then nearly give up, but then went back after it hard.

Chalk probably would have just gotten the bar caught on your thighs even more.

Great pull though, I just hit that a couple weeks ago. Just out of curiosity why sumo? I pulled sumo for a long time and recently switched back to conventional.

Yeah. Didn't really think that one through. My noob is showing.

I have been experimenting with Westside recently and every so often I rotate my ME movements. That day happened to be a sumo rotation. I've pulled conventional for the longest time, but I think I'm just better at sumo.

having said that, strong lifting! nice

Good lift man, strong effort considering how slow it came off the floor.

Lol'd at chalking your legs. Get some baby powder.

That and an actual pair of shorter shorts. I have a weird peeve when I do a DL or SQ and the shorts feel like they get stuck on my knees. Whatevs. Baby powder it is!

Very impressive lift.

Most impressive is that you got through the stall at about 2-4" off the ground. Way to fight and then fight some more to get it off your thighs.

Thanks. I recently pulled 475 on a 3" deficit from a conventional stance. Things are really shaping up.
