Has anybody ever seen these contraptions ( i dont mean a normal bench )? And if so what do you think about them ?

They are in 2 sections upper and lower either end can be weighted..upper makes it easier, lower makes it harder and you perform a full range crunch so youre flexing your trunk and bringing your knees towards your chest ( feet hooked behind the rollers )..they seem like a great idea but some peoples bodies dont seem to agree with them eg. lower back lifts off the bench and it looks quite painful, i`ll post a pic if anyone doesnt know what I`m talking about.

I have one at my gym and it seems quite useful, it's included in my routine.

The only problem i find with the seated ab machines similar to the one you posted is most of them dont allow a full rom ( well the one in my old gym didnt anyway ). I like to get a good stretch of the abs on every rep. Thats why i like the benches.

I think that resistance benches for ab training are great. I've seen the ab bench (with weights on both sides etc) but I'm one of the people that has problems with that machine so I don't use it. Great if you can use it though IMO.
