View Full Version : Deadlifting Questions

Hey everyone, I did my first deadlifting max today and I've got some questions. It was my first time ever maxing the lift and I got 380lb with what I presume was probably relatively weak form. I felt a little bit of strain in my front shoulders. Any suggestions/reasons why that might be and how I can avoid it in the future? It wasn't overly painful, but it was definitely uncomfortable and I had to do some stretching afterwards. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the link it very well may have to do with where my shoulders were positioned in relation to the bar. Thanks again. Any other advice is welcome and appreciated
