Whatsup everyone,
Edward McLaughlin here. Been training for roughly 7 years. 12 May 2012 I competed in my first meet (NW Salvage Wars SPF) totaling 1696 @ 259 . I have had the opportunity to train with some b.a.m.f's out there and occasionally get to train W/ Justin Randall & Ben Seath. I primarily train out of Mcveigh Gym on Fort Lewis, one of the best equipped gyms in the area. Next to that I hit up Stan "The Rhino" Efferdings Flex Fitness in Tacoma, Wa.

After the meet I ran 6 weeks of Wendlers 531, but came to a screeching halt when I was diagnosed with a MRSA infection. Battled that & the effects of the antibiotics for two weeks & started getting back to heavier training. Last few heavy lifts were-

Things have been pretty sporadic as far as training, but finally getting back on track. Starting today I have incorporated some sprints to help re-comp some body fat. Along with working on my Powerlifting goals, I am working to get myself in "better shape" Starting to feel like a old school fat powerlifter, where walking up stairs is cardio!

Next Meet is Justin Randalls Iron Wars 2, 13 October. Will be working with more volume to build a stronger base before starting meet prep. Kicking things off tommorow w/ ME upper!

Great session today! Was only planning on doing incline bench, 5x3 to be exact. However a guy at my gym brought in his slingshots and offered to let me use them, worked out great! Never used them before and damn was I impressed. My best bench Press is 408x1, and I easily could have gone 5-6 on my top set had it not been for some technical difficulties. Either way, damn happy with how today went. Hill sprints were rough, nearly puked at the end. Will have video up tommorow.

Unfortunately today was not my day whatsoever. Was still beat up from squats, bit deydrated, and a handful of other excuses. Still put in work though.

Today felt pretty good. I enjoy using the cambered bar, and will be using it for max squats here soon. I normally do speed pulls as well, but really need to strengthen my posterior chain so I went at it pretty hard. Really liked using the straps for gm's, made the movement much more comfortable

Uncle same decided to strip my morning from me, (before work) so had to get it in after (1110 PM). Dislike training so late, but was a good session. The z press was an ego check! Definetely put me in my place! Shoutout to prostrongmanzack for getting me into these. Think they will be a staple assistance to building my overhead!
