Trying to take it easy with a lot of inflammation that occurs in my brachialis tendon. On a side note my calves are sore from pulls yesterday...Must be getting show ready!

800 was actually a GREAT training miss. 645 and 725 were a joke. Got 800 up past the knees, was inching it up slowly and just didn't have it today to lockout. 775 from the floor is looking confidently promising. Got a new benching program I'll be following from Big Tone Barbbacio and the Jersey Iron Gang. Pretty excited to get started on it!!!

8/20/12 Deload - Deadlift

After an exhausting, non-sleepful weekend, I was debating on training today, even though it was just deload. Ends up I wasn't as big as a pussy as I may have thought and actually went a little heavier then expected.

Just got a tighter pair of Jack briefs and was trying to break them in and also using tight briefs for the first time in training.

Hit the lift. After I put it down I fell backwards; nice blooper! Took 775 from the floor to see if I can hit it for 1 or more. FAIL. Straps were torqued too much on this set and my hamstrings were tired from Friday's squat and accessories. Looking to hit pull only in November to range where my Dead will be come my full comp in December. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

9/24/12 ME Deadlifts

So I have 5 training days (6 weeks), including this one, to work with my deadlift. For the deadlift I am not following any program. It's the pull really Heavy one day using mats, chains, deficits, etc. and on my ME Squat day pull pretty Heavy using a different pin level in the rack each week. I've found in the past that having a program, with pre-determined numbers that I HAVE to hit for the day, has not really worked for me. Don't get me wrong. I do follow percents, for the most part, when getting to a work set. But even warm-ups are different each week, ranging from 70# to 200# jumps. With all that said I LOVE DEADLIFTING!

I currently weighed in today @ about 247. Depending where my weight is, I would like to compete @ 242. If I don't feel comfortable with the cut, then fuck it :)

Deads were dogshit today. Briefs were fitting like dogshit. Had to use my training partner Brian's suit bc mine had ripped at the stitching and he only had broken it in a matter of using it 2x so it felt stiff and like shit. Felt like I'd been kicked by horse repeatedly and didn't have a lot of energy. Plan going in was to hit my opener for a few. Not so much...

11/5/12 Post Deadlift Comp Saturday - ME Bench - week off from shirted work

So on Saturday didn't hit my goal of 800+ pull. Rushed the overhand grip, came 2in. from lock out and hand went. Gives me an idea what I need to work on as well as a clearer picture of where I stand for my full comp Dec. 1
