What if a lifter consumes sufficent protein but not enough carbs during his post workout, will there be any counterproductive results?
BTW, how much protein and carbs do you guys have for post-workout? I consume about 25-30 grams protein and 65-70 grams carbs (at 150 lbs). Is that enough?

q2. I have around 50g whey and around 30 - 40 g dextrose, all depends on what your goals are really.
I think I`m going to up the carbs to around 70 - 80g as I`m starting to bulk soon, and start taking creatine with the dext.

your numbers you posted look about right. why do you want to know if you need carbs post workout, if you are looking to save money then i dont think cutting post workout carbs would be a good idea. drop your creatine or something, imo postworkout is the most important meal of the day. yes you do need carbs post workout.
