Whats good fellas,

Been a while since i was around, going to keep my journal here and hopefully get some advice and inspiration along the way.

I'm currently 6'1 (and shrinking!!), 29yrs old and 231lbs (6weeks ago i was 265lbs and fat!)

My GOAL is pretty simple = 500lbs Deadlift and whats the best way to get there? Deadlifting!

I've done alsorts in my training career so far, dabbled in bodybuilding, done athletics, semi pro soccer. Right now one of the whole reasons i started lifting in the first place was arnie, but first reading material was Stuart Mcroberts Brawn... one of the strength targets was 500lbs deadlift.

Which i have never gotten close to, in athletics, bodybuilding or soccer. So now im going to put 100 focus into doing it.

This journal will show all my training insights and also some nutrition that go with it.

Wish me luck!!

Dynamic Warmup

WU set 130lbs x 3

LT (Last Time) 341 x 2, 308 x 3, 264 x 3

TT (This Time) 363 x 2, 308 x 2, 264 x 3

Barbell Military (had cortisone shot in shoulder 2 weeks ago, so slowly building up strength here)

TT 95lbs x 5, 75lbs x 5 x 2

Abs on fit ball + heavy ab work (situps with dumbbell)

Felt good on deadlift, used chalk for first time today as last workout grip started to go a little. Chalk was massive help, plus sniffed a little ammonia pre lift to get pumped.

Only another 137lbs to go! I swear it sounds easy, but bet it will hard!

Yesterdays workout 23/8/12

Dynamic Warm up:

170kg x 2
160kg x 3
140kg x 3

1Arm Dumbbell Press 20kg x 5 x 3

Stability ball crunch 10kg x 15 x 3
Obliques with 8kg kettlebell

Switched to Kg's just because i cant be bothered calculating pounds!

Workout felt good, strong and deadlift was powerful.

But from advice given on my routine am going to look to change it to something more manageable.
