100% whole wheat bread is the best bread.

Problem is that many "whole wheat" breads are not whole wheat, they are white bread with food coloring and some whole wheat.

Look at the label and look for cracked or whole or even unbleached flour instead of bleached flour as the first ingredient. I think Orowheat makes whole cracked wheat bread which as I recall was pretty good.

A lot of breads say "unbleached enriched whole wheat flour"

Pepperidge farm makes a few great breads. First ingredient... unbromated stone ground 100% whole wheat flour. No bleached flour at all.

Well, if you want to have the real deal 100% whole wheat bread you might have to spend an extra bit of money. Or, you can be a cheap ass like me and buy the generic or store brand.

I eat Roman Meal. I like it. I would suggest it but not sure if its the healthiest. Can someone elaborate?

It lists this:
(Roman Meal Original Sandwich is made from whole wheat, whole rye, wheat bran, flaxseed.)

1g total Fat
13g Carbs
2g Sugars
3g Protein
70 cal a slice

Wow, didn't know roman meal was that good. if it's whole wheat, whole rye, wheat bran and flaxseed it sounds pretty clean to me.
