I drink at least a half gallon of it everyday, and that's mostly cuz I can't afford to drink a gallon a day :)

As long as you get the white stuff from a girl cow, you're ok.

Yeah, it is. But if you're bulking it's no big deal. The sugar won't hurt you nearly as much as the protein and calories will help you. Also, i believe the sugar in milk is natural (like the sugar in fruit), not refined. Someone correct me if i'm wrong here.

For cutting, you might be better off drinking water and getting your calories/protein elsewhere. Some people report that milk makes them "smooth" when they're trying to cut down and get really vascular. I've never gotten my bf% low enough to worry about that though. Maybe one of these days...:rolleyes:

good-luck cue-ball you will acheive it with persistance

milk is probably not great for you, but skim is def. worse. try the cream milk.

I drink heavy whipping cream when I bulk. It's THE only way to prepare for a competition.

Also - Winners99 nice quotes - but the 3rd one is from pumping iron which was not 1979, and it's misquoted :(

I drink milk even now when im dieting down, its skim milk, 0,7%, so it has more carbs than fat. But its aight for now. But i agree, if i was competing i would have stopped drinking it.

Magnus, how do you drink heavy whipping cream? is it a joke, whats the nutrition like?

06-27-2002, 04:56 PM
Maybe I don't actually DRINK the whipping cream, but you would be surprised at how many foods whipped cream can actually go with :) :)

Nice change on the quote! HBO is doing a 25th anniversay special on Pumping Iron this year - look out for it.

I stay away from milk, except for a bit on cereal when I bother with it.

I don't see any other mammals out there continuing to drink milk after their infant years.... so why do humans??

Milk = Good!

Milk = Great!

How come I've never broken a bone in my life.......hmmm maybe it's all the milk I drink, who knows :)
