Ever had one of those days that really sucks? I usually do chest + back on Friday, but I had to do it today because of extenuating circumstances and, well, for some reason, it was just horrible. I either didn't progress at all from last session, or I failed to lift the same weight that I did last session. How frustrating.

I think the reason was that I just hadn't let my body recover enough from the workout earlier in the week. Both my legs and shoulders were still crazy sore when I stepped into the gym.

Just wondering if anyone could relate and make me feel a little better.... :)

I'm quite used to it, but it's more of a mental thing as you get really down when someone fucks up your schedule.

Ya dude, most of it's just mental, I hate when sh** happens and it throws your routine off beat. I guess it's somethin we all have to adjust to.

yeah, i can relate as i've been quite lazy lately (took time off work at the factory) and letting my diet slide (chips, alcohol, fatty foods).

i have nothing to say that will really raise your spirits, just that you gotta stay active (not only at the gym) and stick to your diet.

Yeah, I think it was mostly mental too. I walked into the gym thinking "God, I'm still sore everywhere. I haven't recovered. This is gonna suck" and low and behold it did. I do think my shoulders being sore and my tris being a little tight had something to do with my bad bench day.

Yea, I had one of those yesterday. It was a chest, shoulders, tricep day and I just couldn't pull it together. Couldn't figure out the notes in my journal, couldn't lift worth sh*t and kept having to wait for equipment, it was an all around sucky workout. But I'll just try harder next time.

why didn't "fucks" get censored?
