Yesterday I got my ACT's back thinking that I didn't do very good at all on the test. I just had a bad feeling on it and I wasn't satisfied with how I did. Well, I got a 22 overall. What did yall get on yours. Is a 22 prett decent?

my grades were always ace but i got a 26 which was like the minimum to get into the college of my choice.

when i applied for scholarships they pointed out "while your grades are impressive we usually choose students who score higher on standardized tests".

well, no offense, but a 22 won't get you into any top tier schools. most schools who consider themselves as "selective" universities look for 27 above. there is a scale which relates ACT scores to SAT scores, which may help you better gauge how well you did. i know my 29 was comparable to a 1300 or somehting like that so...?

ACTs are a waste of time, they're a bunch of biased bs.

And no I didn't get a low score :D

I'm not worried about getting into the college of my choice. I plan on going to a state university and getting in. I'm almost positive that I will get accepted around here. But how about everybody else?

Don't start a debate about the ACTs being fair. I'm white and middle class, the exact people the ACTs are made for, and I still say that they are biased. Some of the stuff in them is senseless, and none of the information is useful. Wtf do I care about rainwater, or how to see if 2 things are alike......

It's like my gen ed at college, that stuff is f'ing gay, it's all a joke, albeit easy as hell. It's just another way for them to get more money out of people that are struggling to pay their way through college.

If everything wasn't such a big scam we'd all through 2 years of high school, 1 year of college, and be working at 17......

its a test covering what you should be learning in school. doesnt sound too unfair to me.

i used to think the generals in college were pretty gay but i was also missing the point of college. its not exactly so you can learn your major and leave, the idea is to churn out very well rounded people. you may go for computer science but if you dont have people or writing skills youre not going to make it far.

if all youre interested in is the study of your choice, many vo-tech schools exist and do not require much for generals.

I didn't do very well, but I was hungover and slept through probably half of each section; that booger was long.

I think everyone should take it twice, cuz you get to keep the best score :D

I got the same score twice, cuz I manage to raise one thing by like 8 points and drop another by about the same, lol.
