I know of only two(2) types, High GI and Low GI.

Do you mean active carbs? The only carb I don't count as a carb is fiber.

Actually - I am assuming he is referring to glycerine, sugar alcohols and other carb-like substances that are becoming more commonly found in low-carb items. I know that some of the protein bars I buy claim "Net Carbs = 1g" or something like that.

I am also curious if anyone has a real definitive answer to his question.
