Hi i am wondering if having involuntary muscle spasms is bad??? i seem to get them on and off quite regulary in my arms and legs.
I read in another thread that is has something to do with potassium in your body can someone expand please???
Is this the same sensation you get when using an electonic stimulator thing???
How can i stop having them if it is possible to be prevented???
Thanks in advance
I thout that happened when the muscle was trying to keep warm...thats why when we are cold we shiver.
I tink it's the same ting :D

I have the same thing once in a while...
In the last days (2) it was in my right hamstring. It lasts only a few seconds (10-15), and if I "manualy" contract the muscle, it stops.

I am the same as 3 eyes twitching when im resting
it's an imbalance of minerals in your muscle. seems to happen to me even if i have a good diet. just random i guess. it's potassium and sodium and magnesium levels that do this. the abundant mineral conducts too much electricity and your muscle contracts until it "burns" out the abundant mineral. just make sure you are eating enough fruits and veggies and drink water and they shouldn't happen too often.
i once had one in my trap for 2 days straight!!!

Where did you get this from?

belial said basically what i said. about the mineral getting burned out, it's something i heard a while ago. i figured speculating on the effect was ok, since i provided the reason for the cause.

Its can also be cause by stress.
