My bodyfat is probably somewhere around 15%. To lose some of the fat I've put on while bulking up, I run 3 miles 3 days per week, play beach volleyball 2-3 days per week, and hit the gym 2 days per week.

My diet is:
Breakfast: Slimfast - 230 calories, 5 grams fat
Lunch: Oatmeal or something light and protein shake - 350 calories 2 grams fat
Post gym snack: Protein shake - 150 calories, 1 gram fat
Dinner: If I didn't work out that day, slimfast and protein shake(230 calories, 5 grams fat). If I did work out, about 600-700 calories, 10 grams of fat.

Total on a days that I worked out:
Calories: 1400 or so
Fat: 18 grams of fat

I usually have a headache, but the pounds are coming off!

1400 Calories is way too low.

How much do you weigh?

What are your stats?

Sounds like you're trying to starve yourself to lose weight...Post your stats and it would be easier to help.

Fat and protein intake seem way low...carbs seem way low too for the amount of fat and protein you're eating.

If you start bulking again, I'd say your body would store more fat with your calories so low.

ai ai 1400cals are too low man, unless you're a chick. i suggest that you use www.fitday.com to set up a diet.

and yeah, how much do you weigh? if you are around 200lbs, i would suggest that you have about 2000cals a day.

Gotta agree, 12% fat sounds low. Shoot for 40/40/20 or something like that instead.

1400 isn't necesarilly too low. Depends on how much you weight. If you're 139lbs or so, then 1400 is probably right in there. If you're 200, then it's probably too low.

Sounds like you like your results, so why are you asking for help?

No offense, but that "diet" is terrible. Starvation ISN'T an effective technique for weight loss. My apologies if you weigh 120lbs, but I notice you said fat from a bulk so I assume you weigh more than that. All I can say about that diet you think you're on is you're going to lose muscle and completely negate the effects of your bulk. Starving your body isn't going to help you cut fat. You should look into cyclic low carb diets or no carb/low carb diets as effective cutting diets.

I'm trying to lose fat, not just weight.

My stats are currently: 5'10", 165 lbs. I was 5'10" 172 a week and a half ago.

Oh, here are my workout numbers:
Bench - 225 lbs max
Squats - 210 lbs 8 times
Leg Press - 320 lbs 4 times

Yah, way too low for your weight. Fat, weight...you're probably losing a lot of muscle with that diet. Up the cals to 1900-2000 at least in my opinion.

You're just negating your so-called bulk.

Slim fast is crap! It's loaded with sugar. You'd be better off with a scoop of protein powder or a can of tuna and a piece of fruit or some nuts. I agree with everyone else, your cals are to low. a 7lbs weight loss in less than 2 weeks is too much. You are probably losing lean mass along with fat on that diet.

absolutely right slim fast sucks drink protein shakes instead

cut down on sugar, increase complex carbs and you can eat 100 calories more, and eat ground flax seeds, to up calories to 1600

600-700 cal dinner is too much, that should be spaced out from 4 pm to 7 pm in 2 meals

and run in the morning, you can eat more calories during the day and still lose weight and gain a little muscle

While I'm sure I will lose some muscle, I'm losing fat it appears. 2 more weeks on this diet, and I will be finished with it. If I'm still not exactly where I want to be, I'll up my calories to 2000, and just try to eat more healthily. My stomach muscles are starting to show through, and my pants are loser, so I'm starting to see some results!

Trust me, you didn't lose 7 lbs of fat in a week and a half. Some was probably water and on that diet I'm sure some was muscle. Numbers on the scale mean very little. The mirror is a much better way to judge progress.

Well said. Your body will actually hoard fat if you aren't taking in enough calories. You have lost weight quickly because you shocked your body, but in this case, I doubt it was a good thing. You need to slowly drop calories after coming off a bulk. Keep protein high (it is actually better to eat more protein while cutting than while bulking), fat moderate-high, and carbs low. There are other diets, but that is a good start and is certainly better than your current one.

Ahhh...another one of the quick abs people, hehe. It's not healthy. Once you start another bulk cycle, your body will just store all that fat up again.
