nope...don't have access. and pubmed doesn't have anything i can call up.
Personally, I think it helps, but don't know for sure. I started taking 7-keto at 100mg ED about 4 months ago. I noticed that I didn't get cold as easily, my skin went from dry/cracked to smooth and I don't tire as easily. I took 100mg the first month then lowered it to 50mg ED just because it's not cheap. I don't know if these results are directly from the 7-keto helping the thyroid or not. I am at the end of my last bottle and plan on stopping it for a few months to see what happens.

I'll check. Medline doesn't really have anything that's not in Pubmed, but it's got much better search facilites, so I'll see if I can find anything.

thanks a bunch B&I..i appreciate it.
MWB....that's interesting....I mean i had read the research on the stimulating of T-3....but I took about 100mg a day for 2 weeks, and I've noticed a definite down-turn in the way i've been feeling. Difficulty waking up in the morning, my skin getting drier...the depression came back....that kind of thing.
My hypothesis is that yes, it does activate more t-3, but that t-3 has to come from t-4 stores, and because mine are coming from an exogenous sources, and my own thyroid isn't putting out as much, I basically taxed my system. I'm still not 100% normal-feeling yet, but it's been a bit better. It's been about a week now since i quit it.
that's just a hypothesis tho.

I did a reasonably in depth search and was unable to turn up a single study on 7-keto dhea period.
Sorry.
Tryska if you are on t3/t4 that is probably why you had problems. My metabolism slowed because of dieting and the 7-keto seemed to kick it up a bit. Again, I have no real proof of this, but my bodyfat is lower than it has ever been right now.

well i'm glad it's working well for you MWB. I'm putting that one back on the shelf as not for me. :(
thanks for looking B&I. guess this one is just gonna have to stay in hypothesis stage.

I dunno, I took DHEA once when I was 16 and thought I was gonna die.
That **** ****ed me up.
It's not the same thing is it?

*lol*
it's a variant of DHEA. apparently part of it's structure is changed so that the DHEA doesn't convert to test or estrogen.
i felt like i was gonna die on these formulas tho. shame on you for taking it at 16. you didn't need it then.

lol, I didn't know what it was, I just took one.
I think I'll avoid anything that messes with test.
