I just got over a horrible case of a girl I trusted going behind my back with some guy, and when coupled with finals week at school, I lost 11 pounds in less than 3 weeks. I wasn't depressed or anything, I just stopped working out and was too lazy to eat like I do when training.

I was wondering if anybody else sees weight losses like this? After 2 weeks of training I gained BACK 8 pounds, and a lot of it is muscle because I don't have much fat in the first place.

I'm a genius, so no school crap phases me, lol, and girls, well, once you've had me you've had the best, comparing others guys to me is like piss to wine. :)

Your massive weightloss isn't completely uncommon. I can see it happening, you should try to let things bother you less.

Very common and yes, it's a sign of depression.

This to shall pass, you'll be fine, as you've already put back on some of the weight.

Stress is a muscle killer. Especially coupled with no desire to eat.

I lost 30lbs from that bullshit.

Lots is also from just lost in water weight and glycogen stores. Don't worry about it bro. Just ease back into your diet and training habits and you'll be back in no time.

I'll say. The new micrometer-scaled, 217-point bioelectrical impedence hydrostatic caliper test.

An underwater caliper test....

He was vivisectioned underwater, and the fat weighed separately.

I had my body fat % tested by my University's pharmacutical department. They took all kinds of information and used an electroid that goes around the bicep. The head of the department was there and they said that it is the second most acurate test aside from underwater/dispacement testing.

Although, I was sceptical from the start about the results, but the lady who did it said it should be right after getting the same result on a second try. I want a second opinion though.

What college are you going too, GIS?

I don't have a pic or a scanner. I go to U of Washington. I'm thinking I'll go to the gym tomorrow and see if they have a caliper test and I'll have that done. For one thing, I know I have more fat on my bones than when I had the test done because I've upped my calories for mass gaining. I estimate that I'm around 7% now, but I'll try and find out. The stats in my signature are a little outdated now because I havn't weighed myself either.

How far is U of Washington from Bellingham?

I can't remember exactly how long of a drive it is, but Bellingham is about 2 hours from UW's Seattle campus. Western is a nice campus... I was up there visiting some friends last year and I was surprised with how nice it is. It has a stereptypical reputation of being a hippie school where everybody smokes weed and wears Berkenstocks, but I liked it.
