Apologies for being techno-incompetent (don't know how to embed vids)...but has anyone here seen or heard of this guy (Siamand Rahman)? Besided not having leg drive, he unracks the weight himself. Amazing.

Very impressive is legit. I have tried to find out if anyone can confirm the load? You really can't tell anything from the video.

It's legit, I've seen this guy before. He competes in the Paralympics. I believe both of his legs were deformed at birth or something, in other videos you can see they have to strap him on the bench and his legs are extremely small.

I meant the load, are we sure it is really 705 lbs? If so, CRAZY!

In London, he got redligthed on a 302 kg attempt because it wasn't "smooth enough"...so yes, it could def be real

Chris, if I'm not mistaken, that looks like 300 kg as some others are kind of confused too. This looks like it was in the training hall before the Paralympics where he benched 285 kg then missed 301 or 302 like Rock said. I used to know a guy who did the Paralympics and it's very strict and competitive. Got guys 60 kg or less benching 200 kg or more, it's insane.

No doubt this guy will play with 715+ in the near future though

I wonder if he uses the dynamic effort method?

All seriousness, that's very very impressive. Here's a vid where they strap him to the bench, I've seen a few others before too. I think he weighs in over 300lbs too (with no legs!). Makes me wonder if he had legs what he would do!

Or maybe leg drive isn't important as we all think and perhaps there is something else to utilize?
