Hey guys my buddy Brian Hopper told me to start posting on here saying its a great forum. I am currently competing in the 198 class raw. My next meet is USPA The Centennial Open in Colorado Aug 17th.

Welcome Talon! Brian is a great guy. He did you right by bringing you here haha. Great numbers your posting up. 1700 should be right around the corner for you.

Strong deads, you have great grip strength as well. I feel like a bitch, anything over 550 or so and I have to use straps for more than 1 rep.

knee work

squats felt strong tonight but I am intimidated by them again, I go through phases of this in my career being scared of heavy squats. I will get through it though. My 2nd rep with 545 i got a little forward and partner gave me a bump but it was coming up. for some reason and i think its due to my left shoulder im putting more pressure on my left knee leg. I had to call it after squats because my knee was too flared up.

How does a cambered bar squat feel compared to a low bar back squat. Never tried them.

Congrats on the squat pr. I know your feeling of intimidation with squats sometimes. In gear, ill take a look at the bar and be like wtf. I know i can smoke it, but sometimes its in my head that i may fail. Just a total mindfuck sometimes. I dont even pay attention to the bar anymore. Just have my teammates load it and get right under it.

Cambered bar is a whole other animal it can get pretty shaky but it saves my shoulders...
