I did not see it, but I did see a lot of very negative feedback on FB from the powerlifting community. What exactly did you guys do?

Looks like it's just a broken video for the week ahead.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the link did not work. With that said, I think the episode already aired as I saw a lot of people comment about it on FB.

What did that have to do with powerlifting? That was just silly.

Ya pretty sure that just lowered any outsiders interest in power lifting LOL.

Unfortunately that was a pretty poor representation of powerlifting. You guys look like you have a lot of fun, but if you're going about this acting like you are doing the PL world a favor bringing it more publicity, you are wrong.

Hopefully you all do well on the show, but man, that was a complete misfire as far as powerlifting is concerned.

Ok, now that I have watched it I agree with everyone else. That's unfortunate.

As lame as that was, did they really mention anything about powerlifting on the show? They didn't claim to be a 'powerlifting' team, just a group performing 'strength feats'. I know a group of guys where I live that do something similar through their church. They travel, even to other countries and 'perform' acts like tearing books and bending iron. To us it seems pretty ridiculous, but they do it with good intention.

I only wish the guy that keeps posting this around the internet would stop calling it powerlifting. You are offending people that take the real sport of powerlifting seriously.

This. Some fairly cool strength feats for mainstream audiences, and I appreciate the fact that you guys managed to get a popular show stoked about this kind of thing, but Powerlifting is an actual sport that is already struggling to establish a presence and identity outside of its relatively small circle. (Powerlifting? Is that where you lift the bar over your head? Or where you pick up cars?). This just muddies the waters even more.

I can rip a phone book in half. Here, hold my beer.

I was really hoping this wasn't as bad as everyone said it was. My 6 year old daughter told me about 1 1/2 mins into this that it was silly. I couldn't agree more. Cmon ripping phone books and pressing a 90lbs black guy is just silly. Shit I hope crap like this doesn't continue.

I could go for more Scary Spice and Heidi Klum.

Just sayin.

I'm sorry but this was just sad.

People don't want to see no high box squat in a talent show. Bricks don't have anything to do with powerlifting either.

This would of been a way better set up:

1 somebody does a squat

2 somebody does an ohp(looks better than bench)

3 somebody does a deadlift

The weights should be something like "this is 3 times Simon cowells bw" to let people get a feel for the weight

Benching nick cannon was one of the most ridiculous events I've witnessed in my life. I'm not joking.

I am surprised this hasn't showed up on AGT yet.

Ripping phonebooks is nothing more then a card trick. I taught my 10 yo son how to. Same goes for the concrete breaking. It was pretty bad even as a gimmic show

It was very pathetic. It looked like they told the black host to make sure he was sitting on the fulcrum so that benching was easier. The old guy was pretty impressive though. Overall a Negative impact on powerlifting.
